Cases registered in 2021 are 40 percent more than cases registered in 2020, two minors are being raped every day

Despite this, the incidents of crime against them are not decreasing. Crime against women is not taking its name in the national capital Delhi. According to this report, Delhi is the most unsafe city for women.

Mumbai has the highest number of cases after Delhi

According to the report of the National Crime Records Bureau, in the year 2021, 13,982 cases of crime against women were registered in Delhi while 43,414 cases of crime against women were registered in total 19 metros of the country. Mumbai recorded the highest number of cases after Delhi. While Bangalore stood third.

40 percent more than 2020

Let us tell you that according to this report, the cases registered in Delhi are the highest among the metros. The cases reported in 2021 are 40 percent more than the cases reported in 2020. In 2020, 9,782 cases of crime against women were registered in Delhi. Cybercrime in Delhi has also increased by 111 percent in 2021 as compared to 2020. 356 cases of cybercrime were registered in 2021.

Rape of two minors happening every day

According to this report, in 2021, every day two minor girls were raped in Delhi. According to the report, cases of rape, kidnapping and cruelty to women have increased in Delhi. In 2021, Delhi registered 3,948 cases of kidnapping, 4,674 of cruelty by husbands, and 833 cases of rape of girls. The report states that 136 cases of dowry deaths were registered in Delhi in 2021, which is 36.26 percent of the total deaths in 19 metros.
