‘Modiji should have let him go to the Kisan Manch, he should have given speech to empty chairs, I also addressed 25 people’, taunts Akhilesh Yadav

SP President Akhilesh Yadav said that there were empty chairs for the Prime Minister in Punjab and there are empty seats for him in UP.

On Friday, SP President Akhilesh Yadav targeted BJP on the question of stopping PM Narendra Modi’s convoy on the flyover in Punjab’s Ferozepur. Akhilesh said, ‘Look, I don’t want to make any big deal on that. But I appeal to the people of Punjab and the farmers that at least let the Prime Minister go to the stage. On seeing empty chairs on the stage, it feels good that they should give speeches on more empty chairs too. Because there are empty chairs in UP for them. So at least our appeal to the farmer brothers is that they would have allowed them to speak on stage alone.

‘I went to give a speech among 25 people’

Akhilesh Yadav while narrating one of his anecdotes said, ‘I remember my one time. I went to Koderma. I was seeing the leaders of our party constantly stopping me. The program was at 11 o’clock. First stopped for half an hour, then stopped for half an hour, then stopped for half an hour, when it is half an hour, how many hours will I stop? I was told by a leader in Cannes that people have come less. I said that having less people doesn’t happen. I went to give a speech among 25 people.

PM explains why three black laws were brought and why they were withdrawn

Akhilesh Yadav further said, ‘That’s why I am saying that it is our appeal to the farmers brothers that the Prime Minister should have been allowed to go on an empty stage. And at least on that day the Prime Minister and the people of BJP would have explained why three black laws were brought and why three black laws were withdrawn. The whole country is sitting to hear this.

what is the whole matter

PM Narendra Modi went for a rally in Ferozepur on 5 January 2022, but his convoy had to stop for about 20 minutes at a flyover near Hussainiwala. This happened because some protesters had blocked the flyover from going forward. Later the SPG decided to cancel the tour and while returning, PM Narendra Modi told an officer at Bathinda airport- ‘Thanks to your CM that I am returning alive from here.’

After this statement of PM Modi, the political stir is not taking the name of stopping. The Ministry of Home Affairs has constituted a three-member inquiry committee and the Punjab Government has constituted a two-member inquiry committee to probe this lapse in security. Just as on Friday, Akhilesh Yadav took a jibe at PM Modi and cited empty chairs as the reason behind the cancellation of his tour, in the same way Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi and Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu also took a jibe at PM Modi because of empty chairs. Alleging cancellation of Modi’s visit.
