New Delhi | Bappi Lahiri Demise: The country has lost the famous Bollywood singer and composer Bappi Lahiri. Bappi Da died at the age of 69 at Mumbai’s Criti Care Hospital at 11 pm after a prolonged illness. The entire country including the film industry is in mourning due to his death. All the politicians and people associated with the entertainment world, including his fans, are paying tribute to him. The country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have also expressed grief over the death of Bappi Da.

Vibrant nature will be remembered by all
Bappi Lahiri Demise: Condoling the death of Bappi Da, PM Modi has tweeted saying that, Shri Bappi Lahiri ji’s music was all round. He used to express various emotions beautifully. People of every generation can relate to his songs. His lively nature will be remembered by all. I am saddened by his death. Condolences to his family and fans. Oh peace!

Vice President said- a big loss for the world of music
Condoling the death of Bappi Da, Vice President of the country M Venkaiah Naidu has said that Bappi Lahiri’s death is a great loss to the music world. He said that he was deeply saddened by his death. My heartfelt condolences to the family members.

Sura and Taal will always be remembered
Bappi Da has given more than one superhit songs to Bollywood. He made disco popular in Bollywood with the film Disco Dancer. Bappi Lahiri also sang songs in superhit films like Disco Dancer, Sharabi and Namak Halal. Bappi Da also received the Filmfare Award for Best Music Director in 1985 for the film ‘Sharaabi’. His last song in Bollywood was from the 2020 film ‘Baaghi’. Bappi Da was last seen in Salman Khan’s show Bigg Boss 15 where he along with his grandson arrived to promote a song.
