IPL 2022: Pat Cummins overshadows Rohit’s captaincy, Kolkata beat Mumbai by 5 wickets

New Delhi | Kolkata Knight Riders Beat Mumbai Indians : IPL 2022 (The 14th match of IPL 2022) was played yesterday at MCS Stadium, Pune. In which Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders came face to face. But Mumbai, which is considered to be the most dangerous team of IPL, once again lost the match. KKR beat Mumbai by 5 wickets. Cummins, while batting aggressively, won the match for KKR in the 16th over itself.

Kolkata Knight Riders Beat Mumbai Indians: Batting first, Mumbai scored 161 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. In such a situation, the team of KKR, who came out to chase the target, was heavy on Mumbai in every field and won the match. Kolkata batsman Pat Cummins showed a sharp game and easily gave Kolkata victory. Cummins thrashed Mumbai bowler Daniel Sams and scored 35 runs in an over.

It was costly for Rohit Sharma to give over to Sams.
Kolkata needed 35 runs off 30 balls to win the match over Mumbai. In such a situation, Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma threw the ball to Daniel Sams to put pressure on Kolkata, but his decision proved to be wrong and the whole match was overturned in the same over. Pat Cummins of Kolkata continuously washed Sams’s balls in the 16th over. Cummins hit 4 sixes and 2 fours in this over. During this, Sams bowled a no ball, on which 2 runs were scored. In such a situation, Cummins made the match in the name of Kolkata in the 16th over itself.

Sams became the third bowler to score the most runs
Daniel Sams became the third bowler to score the most runs in an over in the history of IPL after smashing his over. He conceded 35 runs in this over.
