There will be no change in Virat Kohli’s game after leaving the captaincy, claims former veteran cricketer

Team India captain Virat Kohli remains in the discussion these days. Virat Kohli has announced to quit the captaincy from the T20 format after this year’s World Cup. Former Indian fast bowler Ajit Agarkar believes that even after this decision, there will be no change in Virat Kohli’s game and he will play with the same energy and intensity.

Agarkar gave an example for this before Kohli became the captain. Agarkar said, “I think we have seen one thing in his entire career, even when he was not the captain and when he played under Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the energy and passion seemed to be the same. Can’t imagine changing.”

Former India wicket-keeper batsman Parthiv Patel said that Kohli will feel relieved after relinquishing the RCB captaincy in view of the workload coupled with his long stay in the bio-bubble. Parthiv Patel believes that Virat Kohli is looking very emotional at this time.

The former veteran cricketer said, “I think he looked more emotional than happy. I think when you are playing for a franchise for so many years, you get the emotional connection that RCB had. Looks like RCB really recognized Kohli’s talent in 2008 and then showed a lot of faith in him because if you look at his and RCB’s journey, it has been a rollercoaster.”
