Country’s leading carmaker Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) has recalled 166 DZire Tour S vehicles to replace a faulty control unit in the airbag. The company said on Wednesday that these units are being recalled to fix faults in the airbags.

Maruti said in the information sent to the stock exchanges that these compact sedan vehicles were manufactured between August 6 and August 16 this year. The company will replace the airbag control units of the affected vehicles free of cost. The company has advised customers not to operate these vehicles until the airbag control unit is replaced. The customers will be informed about this soon and they can get the airbag control unit replaced by visiting the authorized workshop.

Grand Vitara got 40 thousand bookings

The Grand Vitara has received over 40,000 bookings ahead of its official launch. The deliveries of the new model will start next month. It has been claimed in a media report that Maruti Suzuki has a delivery backlog of 3,87,000 units. The company is yet to deliver 38,000 units of the new Baleno hatchback, which was launched in February 2022. The newly launched Maruti Brezza has also received an overwhelming response from the buyers. Over 30,000 units of the new Brezza are yet to be delivered. In such a situation, 40 thousand bookings of the new Grand Vitara have also arrived.
