Ban on sale of Johnson: Johnson baby powder, know what the Bombay High Court said?

Mumbai . Johnson and Johnson Baby Powder: The Bombay High Court on Wednesday banned the sale of Johnson & Johnson (J&J) baby powder. Along with this, orders have also been given for fresh investigation of J&J’s sample.

The company will have to do construction at its own risk
With this, the court allowed the company to manufacture the product, but banned it from selling. The court said that the company will have to comply with this order. If the company chooses to manufacture the product, it will be at its own risk.

New samples should be tested in three laboratories
On Wednesday, a division bench of Justice SV Gangapurwala and Justice SG Digge directed the FDA to collect and test fresh samples from the company’s factory in Mumbai’s Mulund area within three days. After this, these samples should be sent for testing in three laboratories, two government and one private. After this, these laboratories will have to submit their reports within a week.

The company challenged the orders of the state government
Johnson and Johnson Baby Powder: Explain that the company had filed a petition challenging two orders of the state government. The orders were issued by the Joint Commissioner and Licensing Authority of the State Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Out of which, the September 15 order canceled the license and the September 20 order asked the company to immediately stop the production and sale of baby powder.
