Pollution started increasing in Delhi, air quality deteriorated

New Delhi. The sky remained clear in Delhi on Sunday morning and the minimum temperature was recorded at 19.1 degrees Celsius. The Met Office said that the relative humidity was recorded at 91 per cent at 8.30 am. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature is likely to be around 32 degrees Celsius.

According to the 24-hour Average Air Quality Index (AQI) data of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi’s air quality was recorded in the poor category at 8.05 am.

AQI between zero to 50 is good, 51 to 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 ‘poor’, 301 to 400 ‘very poor’ and 401 to 500 AQI is considered ‘severe’.

The minimum temperature in the national capital on Saturday was recorded at 18.8 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season’s average, while the maximum temperature was recorded at 31.6 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season’s average.
