Surya Nutan: Everyone is hurt by the price of LPG. On the first day of the month every common man is in panic, because he is afraid of rising gas prices. But now the country’s largest oil company itself has brought the break of this inflation. Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) introduced solar chulha for indoor use. This solar stove stores solar energy from panels installed outside the house, so that you can cook free food for three times a day without sitting in the sun.

Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri told about this stove that this solar powered stove can be used by keeping it in the kitchen. Apart from the cost of purchasing this chulha, there is no maintenance cost and it is being seen as an alternative to conventional fuel. Hardeep Puri organized an event at his official residence on Wednesday where cooked food was served on this solar chulha.

stove name surya nutan

IOC Director (R&D) SSV Ramkumar said the stove has been named ‘Surya Nutan’. This chulha is different from a solar cooker, as it does not have to be kept in the sun. With this Surya Nutan, a three-time meal can be easily prepared for a family of four. Surya Nutan, developed by IOC’s Research and Development Department in Faridabad, is powered by solar energy sourced through roof-mounted PV panels.

How does Surya Nutan work?

Indian Oil reported that this Surya Nutan chulha is connected with a cable. This cable is attached to the solar plate mounted on the roof. The energy generated by the solar plate reaches the stove through cables. It is only with this energy that the Sun moves. The solar plate first stores the solar energy in a thermal battery. This energy can be used to cook food even at night.

What is the price of Surya Nutan

At present, the initial model of Surya Nutan has been presented. Its business model is yet to come. In the initial phase, it has been tried at 60 places across the country. The life of this stove is 10 years. In the coming time, there will be a commercial launch of this stove. According to the company, the price of Surya Nutan will be between Rs 18,000 and Rs 30,000. Government subsidy will also be given on this. Due to which its price can come between Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000. That is, what you will spend on LPG gas cylinder in a year, it will be yours for less.
