What is this air scrambling process with the help of which the Indian Army drove the Iraqi passenger plane

Air scrambling of the Indian Air Force proved effective to throw the plane out of Indian airspace two days ago.

Security agencies in Delhi were alerted on information about a bomb in a passenger plane going from Iran’s capital Tehran to Guangzhou, China. For this reason, the Iranian plane entering Indian airspace had to face it. As soon as the Indian Air Force came into action, the pilot of this aircraft had to run away by pressing the tail. There was a report of a bomb in this Iranian passenger plane. The Iranian plane was in Indian airspace at that time. The pilot sought permission for the plane to land in Delhi. The Air Traffic Control of India asked the plane to land in Jaipur but the pilot insisted on landing in Delhi itself. On this insistence of the Iranian pilot, the country’s Air Force immediately took over and forced the plane to go towards China through Air Force scrambling. Now the question arises that what is this Airforce scrambling? Let’s know about it.

What is Air Scrambling

Air scrambling in military flights is meant to quickly mobilize military aircraft. Air scrambling is simply responding to an immediate threat to stop hostile aircraft. In the Air Force lexicon, the term scrambling refers to the deployment of warplanes in an emergency with the ability to fly into action. The length of time the army deploys its aircraft on the front after receiving instructions, it is called scramble time. This is done when the enemy attacks suddenly or there is a threat of immediate attack, or if any kind of risky situation arises, then in this situation the Indian Air Force takes special action.

In the process of any air scrambling, the Air Force will immediately prepare its fighter planes and get ready for action. In this, the Air Force planes have to be in the sky in just 4-5 minutes to take off as quickly as possible. In such a situation, pilots wear G-suits in a few moments. After this, as soon as the phone rings, the siren rings, the pilots put on the helmets and run fast towards the aircraft. The next step is to go to the cockpit, start the engine and take flight as soon as the signal is given.

First used in Britain

According to history, the term air scrambling was first used during the Battle of Britain. At this time when Royal Air Force pilots and their fighters were always ready to fly. These aircraft were used to locate and monitor enemy aircraft. Once the decision to stop the enemy was made, it was communicated to the selected fighter squadron via a telephone call at the airfield and all air crew present there scrambled. These scramble orders were delivered to the pilots standing ready with their planes through the loud sound of the bell for a long time. Under this process, depending on the circumstances, the suspect aircraft is either thrown out or it is forced to land. Even after this, if the plane is not ready to land, then it is shot down in air scrambling.

How was the Iranian plane fired?

Let us tell you that the Air Scrambling of the Indian Air Force proved effective to drive the Iranian aircraft out of Indian airspace. In Air Scrambling, the Air Force carried out this under the complete process. Under this, this aircraft was first chased and then it was surrounded. The aircraft, which insisted on landing in Delhi, was surrounded by Sukhoi-30MKI of the Indian Air Force. At this time, Iranian passenger aircraft were asked to maintain a safe distance. In view of such a siege and Sukhoi’s warning, the Iranian aircraft was forced to leave Indian airspace and turn its direction towards China.
