Surat: MSME entrepreneurs should now also focus on IPR entrepreneurship: Nilesh Trivedi

A full day ‘MSME and Banking Conclave’ was organized at Platinum Hall, Sarsana on Thursday as a joint initiative of South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry and District Industries Centre. In which fiasco president Bharat Gandhi was present as the chief guest.

Today’s conclave was organized with an aim to provide information about various MSME incentives and subsidies of Central and State Government and special loans from various banks to industrialists, traders and entrepreneurs of South Gujarat including Surat from one platform.

Fiasvi President Bharat Gandhi said, MSME sector is the engine of economic growth for the country and the biggest job creator after agriculture. The government should protect the industry with safe guard duty, but import duty should not be imposed for small industries to get raw materials. Nilesh Trivedi, Assistant Director, Ministry of MSME, Government of India said that an MSME entrepreneur does production, marketing, branding and financial management. Therefore, it needs education on how to transfer business development proposition. For this they can take advantage of CGTMSE scheme. He gave detailed information about the assistance schemes of the Central Government to MSME entrepreneurs. He informed about the MSME Innovative Scheme, Design Component and Design IPR registration in MSMEs and asked the businessmen that trademarks should be taken for processing, packaging and distribution of products in the business and IPR should also focus on entrepreneurship. Traders are important for MSMEs. Huh. So he appealed to all the traders to register under MSME.

Five lakh MSME enterprises to be registered on portal, 2.5 crore to be registered in two years: Vikas Gupta

Vikas Gupta, Joint Director and Head of Office, MSME Development Institute-Ahmedabad (IIDS), Government of India, said that if small entrepreneurs have first taken loans under the PNEGP scheme and then want to expand their business, they can get loans. Is. 1 crore Rs. MSMEs benefit through equity under the Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-reliant India Campaign) scheme. Small entrepreneurs can develop business through credit card.

He further said that five lakh MSME enterprises have been registered on the government’s portal and 2.5 crore are to be registered in the next two years. MSME Development Institute of Government of India – Ahmedabad Deputy Director P.N. Solanki gave information about Zero Defect Zero Effect Scheme, MSME Innovative Scheme, Micro-Small Enterprise Cluster Development Program.

District Industries Center- Surat Industries Deputy Commissioner and General Manager M.K. Ladani made a presentation on State Government’s Subsidiary Scheme for MSMEs, Incentive Schemes and Single Window Clearance Act 2017. He said that now the entire process has been made online on the Investor Suvidha Portal. Business can be started only with approval license under Gujarat Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Act 2019. He gave detailed information about Gujarat Industrial Policy- 2020, Market Development Assistance, Government of Gujarat Textile Policy- 2019, Gujarat Apparel and Apparel Policy Subsidy for Mega Garment Park and Financial Assistance Scheme for Logistics Policy.

MSME officers and bank officials gave satisfactory answers to various questions of entrepreneurs

Devang Saraiya of Surat People’s Co-Operative Bank, Rajeev Kumar Pankaj of Punjab National Bank, Ashish Desai of Kotak Mahindra Bank and B.K. Mishra gave information about special schemes and services related to MSMEs. At the end of the session, MSME officers and bank officials gave satisfactory answers to various queries of the entrepreneurs.
