Surat: Exhibitors at ‘Vivneet Exhibition (2nd Edition)’ get a turnover of over Rs 350 cr

A total of 3,890 genuine buyers and visitors from Surat and abroad visited the exhibition during the three days.

Chamber President Himanshu Bodawala said that this exhibition got four times more success than the previous edition.

Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Southern Gujarat Chamber Trade and Industries Development Center organized ‘Vivnit Exhibition – 2022 (Second Edition)’ at Surat International Exhibition and Convention Centre, Sarsana, which witnessed an overwhelming response from Surat traders and Found genuine buyers from home and abroad.

The Chamber President Himanshu Bodawala said that after receiving an overwhelming response for the efforts made by the Chamber last year to provide a platform to the weavers and knitters of Surat, the second edition of the Weaving Exhibition was organized this year. Which has got four times success as compared to last year. Last year the exhibitors got a turnover of Rs 100 crore. Whereas in the exhibition organized this time, the exhibitors have done a business of more than Rs 350 crore. One of the exhibitors who participated in the exhibition made a turnover of Rs 4 to 5 crore at the venue. The exhibition was visited by 6150 buyers on the first day and 10500 on the second day. While 740 visitors visited the exhibition on the third day, a total of 3890 genuine buyers and visitors visited the exhibition during the three days.

He further added that representatives of the Texmas Group in Dubai were very impressed by the performance of Vivenet. His views on Surat’s textile industry changed after visiting the exhibition. Surat has now even surpassed China and has given good business to the exhibitors. The Texmas Group of Dubai has over 500 members, exporting to 90 countries. So he will inform all the members of Texas about the quality of Surat clothing and encourage them to come to Surat too.

Deepprakash Agrawal, President, Vivenet Exhibition said that large buyers from major textile markets in India have shown interest in plain viscose fabrics from Airjet and viscose fabrics from Rapier. Like the nylon fabric and top dye sarees, Waterjet’s home furnishing plain fabric, dobby fabric was also in great demand. Also, the demand for value addition fabrics of waterjet was seen to be high. Some apparel manufacturers demanded denim fabric at the exhibition. Representatives from the Texmas group from Dubai were interested in denim and plain viscose fabrics from Airjet.

Bijal Jariwala, the convener of all the exhibitions of the chamber, said that on Monday, the priests of Baps Swami Narayan Temple also came to see the exhibition. Pramukh Swami Shatabdi Mahotsav will be organized in Ahmedabad in the coming days. Dress fabric for the children and girls coming for service in this festival was selected and brought to the exhibition.
