In its endeavor to create a fashion sense in India and establish India’s presence at the international level, INIFD Surat continues to encourage budding young designers. In all the past years we have organized around 21 fashion shows.

This year is very special as India is completing 75 years of its independence. Indian sculptors, weavers and artisans have worked tirelessly over the years, however, due to rising costs and selling prices, people’s interest in handmade items is decreasing.

As a design institute we try to use handmade fabrics like Khadi, Art-crafts and Handlooms from local areas and instill professional value of artisans, tailors and handicrafts.

Presently the total number of students in INIFD Fashion Institute is 60. Out of which 25 are first year, 20 second year and 15 third year fashion students.
