Surat: 17 students of Chauryasi-Olapad taluka with the help of Adani Foundation passed the government scholarship exam.

Smart students from economically weaker sections will not be deprived of education without any hindrance, so a monthly amount of one thousand is given to the student.

Under the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme, all students will get 1 thousand every month, 12,000 rupees for the whole year

The National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMS) is run by the central government since 2008 to prevent students from dropping out for financial reasons in government schools. Main objective of this scheme Smart students from economically weaker sections will not be deprived of education without any hindrance, so a monthly amount of one thousand is given to the student. It is necessary to pass with the qualification to take the scholarship exam worth Rs 12000 per year.

Adani Foundation, Hazira continues to help students for all competitive exams under its Utthan Project. Adani Foundation, Hazira helps the students for NMMS exam every year. In which student provides study material and lifting assistant take different classes for NMMS exam syllabus. Utthan Sahayak also conduct exams at local level before main exam. As a result of this additional classes are also run for the personally weak students.

This year, Adani Foundation, Hazira for NMMS exam in Choryasi and Olpad taluks of Surat district. Supported 300 students. Schools were closed for months. Preparing for the interests of the students, public gatherings in the temple premises or community halls were lined up for preparation. Out of 300 students in the result declared few days back, 200+ students secured minimum qualifying marks. While 17 students selected according to high quality, each student will be given a scholarship of Rs 12,000 each year for the next four years. The students who secured merit in the examination were thanked by Adani Foundation Hazira.
