Dubai: Sunrisers Hyderabad head coach Trevor Bayliss said the in-form David Warner was dropped to give youngsters a chance in their IPL match against Rajasthan Royals. Sunrisers are already out of the race for the playoffs. Sunrisers beat Royals by seven wickets in which opener Jason Roy and captain Kane Williamson scored half-centuries. “We couldn’t make it to the next round, so we decided to give opportunities to the youngsters so that they can get experience,” Bayliss said in a post-match press conference.

He said, ‘There are many young players in the team who did not go to the playing field, who need to be given a chance. This trend will continue in the next matches too. We are all in this together.”

Asked whether Warner’s days with Sunrisers were over, Bayliss said, “Nothing has been talked about. Warner has given a lot to the team for so many years and everyone respects him. I am sure he will score more runs in the IPL.” Sunrisers will now face Chennai Super Kings on 30 September.

Let us inform that the team of Hyderabad is at the bottom of the table i.e. eighth with 4 points from 10 matches. The team has won two matches so far while losing eight matches.
