Successfully organized ‘Vyapar-2022’ in Kochi to encourage handloom textile producers

Recently, ‘Vyapar-2022’ B2B event was successfully completed in Kochi, one of the major cities of Kerala. About 2417 businessmen shared their business interests with each other in this three-day event organized by the Government of Kerala for the benefit of the traders of MSME Sect. According to media reports, in this event, 330 buyers along with 324 sellers have been told to finalize the deal worth about Rs 105 crore.

Organized by the Kerala Industries and Commerce Department from 16 to 18 June, the objective of this business-2022 is to promote the handloom textile industry of the state, which has been affected by the corona epidemic and floods in the past, and a platform to present the products to the buyers. was to be provided. Besides handlooms and textiles, a significant number of commercial deals took place in the food-processing and ayurveda sectors during the event. This exhibition with 331 stalls was also opened for the general public on the last day of the event.

The report, quoting the importers, said that this B2B event will be followed by virtual meetings between businessmen in the coming weeks and business contracts entered into here will be carried forward. Another highlight of the event was that 65 out of 331 stalls were set up by women. In this way, women entrepreneurs also participated enthusiastically in this event. Representatives of e-commerce giants Amazon and Flipkart also participated in the event and taught entrepreneurs how to grow their business in the digital market.
