Strong start of stock market, Sensex jumps 126 points to cross 61,750, Nifty also rises
Stock market Got off to a strong start today. BSE Sensex jumped 126.79 points to trade at 61,750.94 points. At the same time, NSE Nifty rose by 25.40 points to reach 18,354.55 points. Out of 30 stocks included in Sensex, 25 stocks are trading in green mark and only 5 stocks are trading in red mark. The stocks which are seeing the decline are HDFC, RELIANCE, TCS, ITC and NESTLEIND. Significantly, according to the data released on Monday, there has been a decline in retail inflation. This is good news for the Indian market. Hence, the market is expected to continue rising in the coming days. Talking about the US market, Dow Jones closed down 0.63 percent, S&P 500 0.89 percent and Nasdaq 1.12 percent. The dollar index closed at 106.72, up 0.53 percent.
