Falling asleep at work is no big deal. Often employees take a nap in the middle of their work. Although it is very normal, but it is not normal to sleep according to one’s work. Imagine if a pilot falls asleep while flying a plane? Don’t be surprised! But one such case has come to the fore where the captain, who was flying a plane full of passengers, fell asleep. After this, there was no contact with the aircraft for the entire 10 minutes. The situation had become such that, seeing the officers linking it to the terrorist hijack, they had also prepared the fighter jet to fight. But fortunately nothing of the sort happened.

Let us tell you that two pilots working for Italy’s State Airlines, fell asleep while controlling Airbus 330 while traveling from New York to Rome on ITA Airways AZ609 passenger flight on 30 April. ‘ but then the Captain should have stayed awake and within reach. But then the plane was on autopilot and there was no contact for 10 minutes.

The plane was in contact until the entry into France, but when it lost contact with the plane and stopped giving its location to air traffic controllers, the French authorities contacted the Roman authorities and warned of a terrorist incident. French officials had also asked two fighter jets to be on standby so that they could be sent close to the passenger plane to take stock of the pilot’s condition. During this time the officials of Rome also tried to contact the plane. However, after 10 minutes the pilot responded. Then he was about to land in Rome 20 minutes ahead of time. After this, in the internal investigation of ITA Airways, after blaming the captain as guilty, he was fired.

Although the Captain has denied sleeping in this case, but did not give any specific reason behind the incident. Airline spokesman David DeMico said the plane was on autopilot, flying at normal speed. Passenger safety has never been compromised.
