Stock Market: Sensex plunges 500 points due to fall in global markets, Nifty also lost 150 points

Stock Market: The effect of big fall in Asian stock markets including America is being seen on the Indian market. There is a huge sell-off in the Indian market in the early trade. Sensex has fallen more than 500 points as soon as it opened. The Sensex is trading at 60,036.17 points down 534.91 points. Nifty is also trading 150.75 points down 17,919.30 points. There is a decline in 22 stocks included in the Sensex. At the same time, NTPC, SBIN, INDUSINDBK, ITC, POWERGRID, MARUTI, BAJAJFINSV, ASIANPAINT and ULTRACEMCO are seeing gains. Infosys has lost 3.77 percent in Nifty shares in today’s trade. Tech Mahindra has slipped 2.08 percent and TCS is trading at a fall of 3.05 percent. HCL Tech is down 2.60 per cent and Wipro is down 1.50 per cent.

Big drop in global market

The US market fell sharply on Tuesday due to higher than expected inflation rates in the US. America’s inflation rate reached 8.3 percent in August. After this, there is full expectation of a big increase in the interest rate by the US Fed. Experts say that the US Fed may increase interest rates by 75 basis points. At this rate, the Dow Jones fell 1276 points to close at 31,105 at the end of the trading session on Tuesday. At the same time, Nasdaq fell 633 points to reach the level of 11,634. The Asian market broke two and a half percent and the SGSX Nifty fell by 300 points. The Federal Reserve will deliver its decision at its September 20.21 meeting.

There was a rise in the stock market for the fourth consecutive day

The bullish trend in the stock markets continued for the fourth consecutive trading session on Tuesday. The Nifty of the National Stock Exchange climbed over 133 points to close above the 18,000 mark for the first time since April 4. Continued buying by foreign institutional investors and rise in global markets registered gains in the domestic stock market. Continuing its rally for the fourth consecutive trading session, the 30-share BSE Sensex closed at 60,571.08, up 455.95 points, or 0.76 per cent. During the last three trading sessions, the Sensex had gained over 1,540 points and the Nifty had gained 445 points.
