The cricket world also did not remain untouched by this. When T20 World Cup came to India, strong players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma also said goodbye to T20 International cricket. Apart from these two players, many players said goodbye to cricket.

List of veteran players to retire in 2024
Shikhar Dhawan
Former Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan said goodbye to cricket this year. He announced his retirement from all formats of cricket in August this year. Dhawan was out of the team for a long time and was trying to make a comeback. But when he did not get success, he announced his retirement.
Riddhiman Saha
Wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha, who was an important part of the Indian Test team, also said goodbye to cricket this year after a long wait. Virat Kohli

Rohit Sharma

Ravindra Jadeja

Australia’s great batsman David Warner also ended his career this year. He had said that T20 World Cup would be his last tournament. Warner also did the same. After this he was not seen playing international cricket.

England’s great fast bowler James Anderson also ended his two-decade career this year. Anderson retired from his career in England summer. He is at third place in terms of taking most wickets in Test cricket. He is the highest wicket taker for England. He has taken more than 700 wickets in Tests.
Moeen Ali
