Why start a crusade in India?

There has been a lot of debate in the country regarding the comments made by two judges of the Supreme Court of India in Nupur Sharma’s case. Many are expressing strong displeasure over his comments. They are asking that someone in Udaipur should ask the judges who held Nupur responsible for Kanhaiyalal’s murder that if Nupur or any other person is killed because of his anti-Nupur remarks, can these respected judges be held responsible. ?

It is well known that the remarks of the judges do not form part of their decision, so they have no legal significance. They can be ignored and there is no need for the petition that these judges withdraw their observations.

The question of these judges is also worth noting that a journalist can make such remarks, but should a party-spokesperson make such a comment after getting agitated? Our political leaders and their spokespersons make very authoritarian comments especially on TV channels. Opponents do not accept him without giving a befitting reply to him.

That’s what TV owners want. If Tu-Tu Main-Main runs hard, their viewership will increase, but they forget how much damage it can cause to the country. To stop such debates, it is necessary to curb the TV channels as well. It is better that whatever debate takes place on such controversial issues, it should be released after recording and editing it in advance. Otherwise, what happened in Udaipur and Amravati could also happen on a large scale.

What could be a bigger misfortune for independent India than this. Chief Justice of India NV Raman made his heartache public yesterday while addressing the Indian diaspora in the US. He said that both the ruling and opposition leaders want the judiciary to lean towards them but its religion can be protected only by its impartiality.

It is a matter of great sadness that the leaders of our major political parties are still not deterred from baking their respective rotis. Do they have the slightest idea that because of their actions, this secular India can become the site of a crusade?
