Six people gang-raped with two friends in Ranchi

Ranchi. Two girls were allegedly gang-raped by six people in the Dhurva police station area of ​​Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi on Thursday night.

Ranchi Senior Superintendent of Police Surendra Kumar Jha said that on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday, six people allegedly gang-raped two girls in Dhurva police station area. He told that the victim girls reached the police station in the middle of the night and informed the police, on the basis of which five accused were arrested within a few hours after raiding, while the search for the sixth accused is on. He told that both the girls reached the police station in the middle of the night and informed the police about the whole matter, after which the police took quick action and arrested five of the six accused.

Jha said that an FIR has been registered in the matter and both the girls are being taken to Ranchi’s Sadar Hospital for medical examination. He told that a girl resident of Tupudana area had gone to her sister-in-law’s house. He told that the sister-in-law, along with a young man from the neighborhood, sent the girl back to Tupudana’s house on Thursday night, but on the way, the young man allegedly raped the girl at a secluded place in Dhurva police station area.
After this, the youth called five more of his accomplices there and they also allegedly raped him, Jha said.

The victim alleged that after the gang-rape, the criminals told the girl that ‘you call another friend of yours and call here, then they will leave you’. He said that the victim called one of her friends out of fear after which all the six accused allegedly gang-raped her friend as well. Ranchi Municipal Superintendent of Police Anshuman Kumar said that the police will arrest the sixth accused very soon. He said that the police is also probing the role of the sister-in-law of the girl in this case.
