It is said that talent does not belong to any place. From small villages to big cities, anyone can emerge as an example at any time. Similar is the case in Vadodara where 28-year-old Siddhartha has been appointed as the coach of some national boxing teams in the World Company Tournament. It is a matter of pride for the entire country, state and city. In a state where sports is not on the list of career options, this young coach from Vadodara has come into limelight. Siddharth, who has been appointed as the coach of the national kickboxing team for the Kick-boxing World Cup, is the first Gujarati to be appointed to the coveted position.

Let us tell you that from 12 to 15 May this year the 7th Turkish Open Kickboxing World Cup is going to be held in Istanbul. Siddharth Bhalegher, 28, the first Gujarati to be appointed as the coach of the national kickboxing team, says “I am very excited for this opportunity. We have very talented kickboxers who have the potential to win the World Cup. I wish my team to win. I will try my best. Many countries will participate in the World Cup. We have nine players from India along with one player from Gujarat. It is an honor to be a part of the World Cup squad.”

Siddharth started kickboxing at an early age and later went on to pursue various degrees in the sport. In 2014, Siddharth started his coaching career in kickboxing at Sant Kabir School and then went to several camps to coach the players. Siddharth, president of the Kickboxing Association of Gujarat, has won 14 gold medals.

He has won many silver and bronze medals in kickboxing. Also played karate championship at national and state level. Siddhartha, who has completed his educational course to become an international referee, national coach and national referee, runs coaching classes in which I train children and adults in karate and kickboxing. He believes that now this game is progressing slowly in Gujarat. It is worth mentioning that Karate and Martial arts were played as a fighting sport but kickboxing has been gaining popularity in Gujarat for the past few years. Young people are taking up kickboxing not only as a sport but also to improve their fitness.
