Shraddha murder case: Aftab confesses in front of the judge – whatever happened was ‘Heat of the Moment’, remand extended for 4 days

New Delhi. Saket Court has extended the police custody of Aftab Poonawalla, accused in the Shraddha murder case, for 4 days. Aftab’s police custody was to end today (Tuesday). Aftab was presented in the court on Tuesday for a special hearing through video conferencing. During this, Aftab said in front of the judge that whatever happened was in the heat of the moment, that is, what he did was done in anger without thinking.

Let us inform that the police recovered a jaw and some bones from the forests of Mehrauli on Monday. Delhi Police has taken it to a dentist, so that it can be ascertained whether this jaw belongs to Shraddha or not. Dentists have started examining this jaw. Aftab’s narco test could not be done on Monday.

Actually, Aftab has to undergo a polygraph test before the narco test. Earlier on Thursday, the court had ordered Delhi Police to conduct narco test of Aftab in 5 days. The Delhi Police on Monday sought permission from the court to conduct a polygraph test on Aftab. It is being told that Aftab has also given his consent.
