Shraddha Kapoor was born on 3 March 1987 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She belonged to an affluent Punjabi family. His mother Shivangi Kolhapure is an actress while his father Shakti Kapoor is also an actor and businessman.

His elder brother Siddhant Kapoor is an actor and film producer. Shraddha had a dream of acting in cinema since childhood and practiced in front of the mirror in her family’s clothes.
