It seems that now the central agencies alone are not able to succeed in tarnishing the reputation of the opposition leaders. On the investigation of ED, CBI, now the opposition parties have started telling it their achievement instead of panicking, scared or ashamed. That’s why the campaign for running shoes is going on in different states. Shoes have run on two leaders of Trinamool Congress in West Bengal. It is being told that the people running the shoes are associated with the BJP or there are people who have support for the BJP. Similarly in Tamil Nadu also a leader was hit with a shoe and BJP workers have been arrested in that case.
Recently, Partha Chatterjee, the number two minister in Mamata Banerjee’s government, was arrested and when the ED raided the house of his close aide Arpita Mukherjee, cash worth more than 50 crores was recovered. After that one day Partha Chatterjee was being taken for medical examination when a woman threw a shoe at him. A few days later, when Anubrata Mandal, a senior leader of Trinamool Congress and close to Mamta, was arrested by the CBI, a shoe was thrown at her in the court. Shoe has also run in Tamil Nadu, far away from Bengal. There, five people threw a shoe not at an arrested person, but at the vehicle of State Finance Minister Palanivel Thiagarajan. Out of these, one person has been arrested, who is a BJP worker. It seems that this work is being done in a well-planned manner to inculcate a sense of disrespect towards the leaders among the common people.
