Shock to New Zealand team, this veteran will not play in T20 series against India

Kane Williamson will miss T20 Series: The three-match T20 series between India and New Zealand will be played from November 17. The first match of the series will be held in Jaipur tomorrow. New Zealand captain Kane Williamson will not play in this series. He has decided to withdraw from the T20 series to focus on the Test series against India. In his place, fast bowler Tim Southee will captain the New Zealand team.

Williamson has reached Jaipur with the New Zealand team on Monday evening. The Kiwi team has been runner-up in the T20 World Cup held in the United Arab Emirates and Oman. He had to face defeat by 8 wickets at the hands of Australia in the final match played on 14 November.

Three matches of the T20 series between India and New Zealand will be played in Jaipur, Ranchi and Kolkata. Talking about Williamson, he did well in the T20 World Cup. He scored 216 runs in seven matches. His score of 85 runs in the final was his best.

Earlier in 2020, T20 series was held between India and New Zealand. Team India had won that series by 5-0. However, in the T20 World Cup, the New Zealand team was heavy on India. After the three-match T20 series, there will be two Test matches between the two teams. The first Test will be played in Kanpur from November 25 to 29 and the second match will be played in Mumbai from December 3 to 7.
