Today is the 153rd birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. On this occasion, crores of people present in the country and abroad are paying tribute by remembering him. Many veteran leaders have also paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi by reaching his samadhi at Raj Ghat in New Delhi. In this sequence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also reached Rajghat and paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi by paying floral tributes. Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Congress President’s candidate Mallikarjun Kharge also reached Bapu’s samadhi and paid tribute to him.

President Daupadi Murmu has reached Rajghat this morning after giving an address to the nation on the eve of a day. He also paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi and paid tribute.

UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has also paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. He tweeted in which he wrote that, ‘On International Day of Non-Violence, we celebrate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the festival of importance of peace, honor and dignity for all.’ He further wrote that, ‘By adopting these values, we can defeat all the crises of today. We have to work beyond our culture and boundaries, which will create a new future.

Rahul Gandhi celebrated Gandhi Jayanti

Rahul Gandhi is currently on the multipurpose ‘Bharat Jodo’ journey of the Congress party. During this, he participated in the program of Gandhi Jayanti in Mysore, Karnataka along with party leaders and workers. This program has been organized in Badnavelu.

President’s address to the nation

In the evening before Gandhi Jayanti, President Daupadi Murmu gave a message to the country. Paying tribute to Mahatma Gandhi in this message, he said, “Gandhi Jayanti is an opportunity for all of us to rededicate ourselves to the values ​​of his inspiring life – peace, equality and communal harmony.” He also said that this year is very special for the whole country. He said that as we are celebrating the nectar festival of freedom, ‘it is time for all of us to work towards shaping the India of Gandhiji’s dreams.’

In his address, the President also asked to follow non-violence and follow Gandhi’s sutras. He said, ‘Gandhiji showed his true potential to the entire humanity and proved the power of compassion. Let us again take a pledge to follow his path, follow the path of truth and non-violence, promote mutual harmony and work towards the progress of the country and the world.
