Stock Market: There has been great buying in the stock market on the first trading day of the week. The Sensex (BSE Sensex) closed with a gain of 533.74 points (0.91 per cent). At the same time, the Nifty-50 index closed at 17,691.25 with a gain of 159.20 points. In the day’s trading today, there was great buying in pharma, financial, metal, auto and banking stocks. Out of the top 30 stocks of Sensex, 6 stocks have closed in the red mark. Apart from this, 24 stocks have closed with gains.
NTPC has been in the list of top gainers with a growth of 4.08 per cent. Apart from this, Bajaj Finserv, SBI, Bajaj Finance, Tata Steel, Dr Reddy, M&M, IndusInd Bank, TCS, Axis Bank, Reliance, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, LT, ITC, HDFC Bank all saw good buying.

Apart from this, Power Grid, Kotak Bank, Nestle India, Titan, Hindustan Unilever and Bajaj Auto have been in the list of declining stocks today. Today the biggest decline has been seen in Bajaj Auto. The stock closed with a fall of 0.75 per cent.
Sectoral index rises
Talking about the sectoral index, today BSE Auto, Bank Nifty, Capital Goods, FMCG, Healthcare, IT, Metal, PSU and Tech sectors closed with gains. Apart from this, the consumer durable sector has closed with a fall of 40 points today.
Smallcap and Midcap Indexes
The smallcap index closed at 28696.72 with a gain of 481.10 points. Apart from this, the Midcap index rose by 379.68 points and the CNX Midcap index saw a great gain of 478 points.
