Fraud of 79 lakhs by posing as CBI director

New Delhi. A charge sheet has been filed against two persons for conspiring to cheat a person of Rs 79 lakh in the name of CBI director Subodh Jaiswal. Officials gave this information. He told that both are residents of Kolkata. He did S.L. Kulkarni (SL Kulkarni) for allegedly installing a mobile tower in his farm and renting it out to recover this amount.

Officials said the duo persuaded Kulkarni to pay Rs 79 lakh under various heads, including “CBI tax” allegedly to be paid to the central probe agency. He also issued forged receipts for the payment of these taxes. He told that both were arrested from Agartala in August this year and brought to Delhi and are currently lodged in Tihar Jail under judicial custody. He said that the CBI had not made the FIR public earlier and recently filed the charge sheet before the special court.

The special court took cognizance of the charges leveled against the two and ordered the trial to be heard.
