Rudrapur: Fire broke out in the form of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, fury among the Sangat

Rudrapur. In Shimla Pistor, fury has spread over the burning of Sri Guru Granth Sahib under suspicious circumstances, resulting in ashes. Gurdwara Nanakmatta Sahib Management Committee head Harbans Singh Chugh, along with Baba Gurjant Singh of Gurdwara Nanakpuri Tanda, police also reached the spot. After which it has been decided to get an FIR done along with forensic investigation of the entire matter.

Smoke was seen rising from Gurudwara Sahib located in Shimla Pistor around 8 am on Wednesday morning. When the door was opened inside, the form of Guru Granth Sahib had been burnt. The villagers informed about this to Gurudwara Nanaksar Thath. On which Nanakmatta Gurdwara Sahib Committee President Harbans Singh Chugh, Director Nirmal Singh Hanspal, Baba Gurjant Singh of Gurudwara Nanakpuri Tanda Sahib, Baba Sukhchain of Nanaksar Thath and other people of Sangat reached the spot.

On information, Assistant Superintendent of Police Chandrashekhar along with In-charge Inspector Vikram Rathore also reached the spot along with the police force. During this, on the information about the establishment of another Guru Granth Sahib in the village, the committee also inspected there. Seeing that the dignity of Guru Granth Sahib was not being followed there, the committee decided to keep the form of Guru Granth Sahib in the Gurdwara located at Rudrapur Gol Market.

Pradhan Harbans Chugh assured that after the construction of Maryada Swaroop Gurdwara, it would be duly installed there. On the other hand, on information, the team of Forensic Team Haldwani reached the spot and started investigating the cause of the fire. Along with this, an application was given to the police to register an FIR against the unknown. After the forensic investigation, the process of cremation in the form of Guru Granth Sahib will be duly completed. For this the people of the committee are engaged in preparations. Assistant Superintendent of Police Chandrashekhar said that instructions have been given to register an FIR.
