Two factions clashed in Telangana over Shivaji Maharaj’s statue, police fired tear gas shells

 

Nizamabad | Two Groups Clashed Telangana: There was a fierce dispute between two groups over the installation of the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Telangana. According to the information, there was heavy stone pelting between two groups in Bodhan town of Nizamabad district of the state. Tension escalated in the area and the police had to use tear gas shells to control the situation. According to reports, a policeman was injured in the incident. Police have imposed Section 144 in the area.

Controversy between BJP and TRS-AIMIM workers
According to the Nizamabad Police Commissioner, two groups clashed over the installation of a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Ambedkar Chauraha on Sunday. Both the sides pelted stones at each other. In such a situation, section 144 has been imposed in view of the tense atmosphere. According to the police, the clashing factions are one of BJP workers and the other faction of TRS-AIMIM workers.

Police fired tear gas shells
According to media reports, one group had installed a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, which was opposed by the other faction, and there was fierce stone pelting between the two. In such a situation, the police had to release tear gas shells to control the situation. After much effort, the situation was brought under control.

BJP MP alleges hooliganism
Two Groups Clashed Telangana: If reports are to be believed, additional police force has been deployed on the spot and arrests are being made to the accused. On this incident, BJP leader and Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind has tweeted and accused the workers of ruling party Telangana Rashtra Samithi and Owaisi’s party MIMIM of hooliganism.
