Have picture of Lakshmi-Ganesh with Gandhi on Indian note: Kejriwal

New Delhi. Aam Aadmi Party’s national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that Mahatma Gandhi is on one side on the Indian currency. And on the other side the picture of Lakshmi-Ganesh ji should be put. In a press conference today, Kejriwal said that the Indian economy is passing through a very critical phase. Rupee is getting weaker day by day against dollar. The common man has to bear the brunt of all these things. Even after 75 years of independence, India is considered a developing and poor country. He said that we all want India to become a developed country. This requires a lot of effort. We have to open a large number of schools and hospitals. We have to create electricity and road infrastructure on a very large scale. But efforts are fruitful only when we have the blessings of Gods and Goddesses.

We see many times that efforts are being made, but the results are not coming. At that time it seems that if there is the blessings of the gods and goddesses, then the efforts start bearing fruit and their results start coming. He said that on Diwali, we worship Ganesh ji and Lakshmi ji. We all prayed to God for happiness and peace. We all prayed for the prosperity of our respective families and the country. We also see that businessmen and industrialists keep idols of Lakshmi ji and Ganesh ji in their respective rooms and worship them every morning before starting work. He said that it is an appeal to the Central Government and the Prime Minister that there is a picture of Mahatma Gandhi on one side of the Indian currency. It should remain as it is, but on the other hand the picture of Ganesh ji and Lakshmi ji should be Indian. He said that Indonesia is a Muslim country. In Indonesia, more than 85 percent of the population is Muslim and there are less than two percent Hindus, but they have a picture of Ganesh ji printed on their note there. (talk)
