Rocket launcher attack on police station of Tarn Taran district

Chandigarh. A rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) attack hit a police station in a ‘terrorist’ attack in Punjab’s Tarn Taran district. Officials informed about this on Saturday. It is a matter of relief that there was no casualty in it. According to the information, during the attack on Friday night, eight people including Police Station Officer Prakash Singh (Prakash Singh) were present in the police station. Apart from the main entrance, the windows of the police station were broken in the attack.

Senior police officers have reached the spot for investigation. A senior police officer has confirmed that the use of a deadly weapon like an RPG points towards a terror angle. This is the second rocket launcher attack on a police station in the state in seven months. Earlier, there was an RPG attack on the headquarters of the Intelligence Wing of Punjab Police in Mohali.
