reverse move of the government

Especially the situation of inflation right now, In view of this, the government was definitely expected to show this minimum intelligence. But it didn’t happen. So with these new taxes, retail inflation will increase further, There is no doubt about it.

This is indeed the first time after independence that the government has imposed tax on food grains. The Narendra Modi government had told this decision in the recently held GST Council meeting itself, but then in some circles it was expected that the Center would reconsider the matter. Especially considering the situation of inflation right now, it was definitely expected from the government to show this minimum intelligence. But it didn’t happen. So with these new taxes, retail inflation will increase further, there is no doubt about it. Take note. Cereals like rice, flour, barley, oats etc. have come under the ambit of GST from Monday. Similarly, 5% GST has been imposed on packaged curd, lassi, butter milk and paneer. It’s not even here. Now 18 percent GST will have to be paid on the fee that the bank will charge for taking a check book from the bank. On the other hand, the same tax has been imposed on hospital rooms (with fees above 5000). So from eating food everyday to banking and falling ill has become expensive.

Reading this news, one easily remembers the story of the French Revolution. One thing is also told in the reasons for this revolution in 1789 that the poorer there was at that time, the more tax was imposed on him. Isn’t the same situation being created in India today? This is not in any way to say that conditions like the French Revolution are being created in India. On the contrary, there is no sign of any decline in the popularity of the ruling party so far. But the new tax has once again exposed the true character of the existing governance system. The government which gave an annual rebate of Rs 145 lakh crore in corporate tax three years ago and which has not yet thought of increasing the tax on capital gains, continues to make everyday essentials expensive. It will be seen only as a deliberate attempt to increase inequality and plight in the society.
