Reservation completely over in Chhattisgarh, the government accepted, the information given in RTI, said – no roster is active after the decision of the High Court – The Facts

In Chhattisgarh, the reservation given to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes has completely ended. There is now zero percent reservation in the state. This information has been given by the General Administration Department under Right to Information (RTI). In the information given by the General Administration Department, it has been told that after the decision of the High Court, no reservation rule or roster is active in the state.

In the RTI reply given by the General Administration Department, it has been said, “The High Court of Bilaspur by order dated 19 September 2022 has declared the notification issued on 29 November 2012 of the General Administration Department as unconstitutional. In which there was a provision of 32 percent reservation for Scheduled Tribes, 12 percent for Scheduled Castes and 14 percent for Other Backward Classes. The state government is filing a special leave petition (SLP) against it in the Supreme Court. Therefore, the question of reservation rule or roster being active in the situation of 30 September 2022 does not arise.
