Has the Taliban changed?

Now that the news of India’s linking with Taliban has come, So the question has arisen that what has changed in the Taliban in the last ten months. The reality is that the radicalism that the Taliban is known for, He is doing his Mujahira again in Afghanistan.

This would be considered a strange story of Indian diplomacy. When the Taliban captured Kabul in August last year, India left no stone unturned to express its unease over it. Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself made a statement that was seen as a criticism of the development. Given the history that the Taliban have, India’s response cannot be called unusual. So it was rightly considered that India, like many other countries, severed diplomatic ties with Afghanistan last August. That is why now that the news of India’s attempt to connect with the Taliban has come, it is becoming difficult to understand. This question has naturally arisen as to what has changed in the Taliban in the last ten months. The reality is that the radicalism that the Taliban is known for is being demonstrated again in Afghanistan.

Despite this, Indian diplomats have met Taliban representatives in Doha, the capital of Qatar. If this thing happened only on the issue of providing humanitarian aid to the troubled people of Afghanistan (as stated by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs), then it would be seen as a positive initiative by India. But this discussion is fast that soon India can reopen its embassy in Kabul. If this happens, then it would be considered a reversal. In August last year, India withdrew its officials from Afghanistan and closed the embassy. Last month, India said it did not know when the embassy would open in Afghanistan. Now let’s see if this happens soon. At present, Indian foreign has told that India has sent 20,000 metric tonnes of wheat, 13 tonnes of medicines, 5 lakh doses of Kovid vaccine and a large consignment of winter clothes to Afghanistan, so that the needs of the people there can be met.
