Relief on inflation front, country’s retail inflation rate fell to 5.30% in August

India CPI Inflation Rate August 2021: There is some relief news on the inflation front. According to the data released by the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation on Monday, there has been a decline in the inflation rate across the country and it has reached 5.30 percent in the month of August. Earlier, the retail inflation rate had come down to 5.59 per cent in the month of July from 6.26 per cent in June.

This is the second time that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) figure has come within the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) upper margin of 6 per cent. Prior to this, the consumer price index had risen above 6 per cent for two consecutive months in May and June.
