Air India will start more comfortable economy class from next month

Mumbai Amidst efforts by Tata group carrier Air India to expand its global network and market share, its Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Campbell Wilson on Saturday said the airline is set to introduce economy class on long-haul international flights with more amenities.

Speaking at an event at the JRD Tata Memorial Trust here, Wilson said the airline would increase its market share to at least 30 per cent on domestic and international routes. The airline is working on a long term revival plan and plans to grow its fleet as well as global network over the next five years.

Carpets, curtains, seat cover-cushions will be replaced in the near future, Wilson said. We have completely revamped the menus on domestic flights and will introduce more comfortable economy class on long haul international flights from next month.
