Reliance AFI Olympics: Reliance Industries has joined hands with the Athletics Federation of India to develop Indian athletes and further India’s Olympic Movement. Smt. Nita M. Ambani has said that athletics is one of the most popular sports across the world and the aim of this association is to promote Indian athletics by providing opportunities and world class facilities to our young talents, with special focus on girls. Said that the partnership of Reliance Foundation and AFI is years old. The partnership between the two organizations will deepen with Reliance becoming the major sponsor.

Reliance AFI Olympics: IOC member and Director of Reliance Industries Limited, Mrs. Nita M. Ambani said that we are happy that the partnership of Reliance Foundation and Athletics Federation of India is expanding. Athletics is one of the most popular sports globally and the objective of this association is to accelerate the growth of Indian athletics by providing opportunities and world class facilities to our young talents, with special focus on girls. AFI has been working closely with him for the past few years. We have seen the Indian athletics contingent grow up in international events. Reliance Foundation’s Athletics Journey
• For the development of athletics, Reliance Foundation has been running the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports Program since 2017, which has reached more than 5,500 educational institutions in more than 50 districts across the country.
• Reliance Foundation established the Orissa Reliance Foundation Athletics High Performance Center in 2018 in partnership with the Government of Orissa. The place has given many national and international medalists and national record holders. Recently, Jyoti Yaraji (representing India at CWG 2022) and Amlan Borgohai broke long-standing national records.
• Reliance Foundation is also supporting AFI with sports science and medical support. Physiotherapists from Reliance Foundation attended the 2020 Tokyo Olympics with the Indian contingent.
