Demand to fill vacant posts of judges in Uttarakhand High Court soon

Nainital. Expressing displeasure over the vacancies of three judges from the advocate quota in the Uttarakhand High Court, the advocates of the court on Monday expressed their displeasure and demanded the Central Government to fill the posts at the earliest.

Senior advocate of High Court and former MP Dr. Mahendra Singh Pal told reporters that three posts of judges of advocate quota are vacant in Uttarakhand High Court for a long time. At present, the post of Chief Justice is also vacant in the High Court and due to this, the name of any advocate has not been recommended from the Collegium of the High Court.

He has demanded the Central Government to fill these posts. He has also opposed the announcement of opening of Law University in Dehradun.
