IPL 2021: The second part of the Indian Premier League season 14 is going to start from 19 September. Chennai Super Kings star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been declared fit ahead of the match against Mumbai Indians. Du Plessis is also likely to take the field in the match to be played on Sunday.
Jadeja had reached UAE only last Saturday. Due to his all-rounder game, Ravindra Jadeja is a very important player for Chennai Super Kings. Jadeja has improved his batting a lot in the last two years and is now being used by CSK as a finisher and middle order batsman.
du Plessis will be available on Sunday
Du Plessis, the highest run-scorer for CSK in IPL 14, is recovering from his injury. Du Plessis appeared in good form during the Caribbean Premier League and also scored a century. Du Plessis, however, had a minor back problem and was ruled out of the semi-finals due to this.
CSK said that du Plessis has been advised rest for a week to get fit. Duplessis will be tested upon arrival in the UAE. CSK are fully hopeful that du Plessis will be available for Sunday’s match and will take charge of the team’s opening.
