Ranji Trophy: 10 days before the start of the tournament, Corona knocked, many players got positive

Ranji Trophy 2022: Corona’s entry has been made in the Ranji Trophy starting on January 13. Many players have been found to be Kovid-19 positive. It is reported quoting the source that now the BCCI can hold an emergency meeting before the start of this domestic tournament and considering the latest situation, can also consider going ahead with the Ranji Trophy.

Now less than 10 days are left for the start of Ranji Trophy. Squads and captains of all teams have been announced. A practice match is also to be played between Bengal and Mumbai on January 6, but now the clouds of doubt are hovering over it.

Corona cases increase

There has been a sudden increase in the cases of corona in the country for the last two weeks. In view of this, the Cricket Association of Bengal has also arranged for the Kovid Test for the players. Due to this system, when the RTPCR tests of players were done, the reports of many players came positive. RTPCR tests of players and support staff of other teams are also being done.

This time 6 places are to be played against Ranji Trophy. These include cricket stadiums in Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata and Thiruvananthapuram.
