Jaipur. The state government has taken several unprecedented decisions with a view to provide financial support to the farmers. Rajiv Gandhi Krishak Saathi Sahayata Yojana (Rajiv Gandhi Krishak Saathi Sahayata Yojana) is also one such scheme to provide financial support to farmers in times of distress. Through this scheme, the farmer is given financial assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh in case of accidental dismemberment or death while doing farming work.

In this regard, the Deputy Director of the Agriculture Department Mr. Pramod Kumar Satya said that under the scheme, a provision of Rs. Similarly, in case of dismemberment, such as spinal cord fracture, coma due to head injury, loss of both hands, both legs, both eyes or any one limb, Rs 50,000 is given. Under the scheme, financial assistance of Rs 25,000 is provided for one limb disability, Rs 5,000 for amputation of one finger, Rs 10,000 for amputation of two fingers and Rs 20,000 for amputation of four fingers.

10 thousand farmers benefitted
Shri Satya said that under the scheme, Rs 151 crore 92 lakh 3 thousand has been paid by the state government to 10 thousand 237 farmers through market committees in the last 4 years. Out of which Rs 1381.98 lakh was given to 989 farmers from December 2018 to March 2019, Rs 4303.50 lakh to 2 thousand 981 farmers in the year 2019-20, Rs 3457.10 lakh to 2 thousand 275 farmers in the year 2020-21, year 2021-22 In 2022-23, assistance of Rs 4227.10 lakh has been provided to 2 thousand 806 farmers and Rs 1822.35 lakh to one thousand 186 farmers till the month of September in 2022-23.

Online Application for Grant
He told that to avail the benefits of Rajiv Gandhi Krishak Sathi Sahayata Yojana, farmers can apply through Jan Aadhaar and mobile number on Raj Kisan Sathi portal.

Ramkishan Meena got financial support
Ramkishan Meena, a resident of Lalwas village in Jaipur district, said that his wife Meera Devi died in February 2022 due to the bite of a poisonous animal while working in the field. He applied online for the assistance amount in Rajiv Gandhi Krishak Sathi Sahayata Yojana. An amount of Rs 2 lakh has been sent online to his bank account by the state government.

Binsa Devi got financial help
Expressing gratitude to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot for this scheme, Binsa Devi, a resident of Jamwaramgarh in Jaipur district, says that many farmers like her have got relief from this scheme. While doing agricultural and marketing work, farmers and agricultural laborers get disabled due to accidental accidents and sometimes even die. In such a situation, this scheme is proving to be a boon to provide support to the victim families. She says that while doing agricultural work, two fingers of her right hand were cut off. He got free treatment under the Chiranjeevi Yojana and also got an assistance of ten thousand rupees under the Rajiv Gandhi Krishak Saathi Yojana.
