Rajinikanth starrer ‘Baasha’ completes 30 years

Chennai. It has been 30 years since veteran actor Rajinikanth’s superhit film ‘Baasha’ was released. Rajinikanth and Nagma starrer ‘Baasha’ will be released in a new style. On the occasion of completion of 30 years of release of Rajinikanth-Nagma film, 60th anniversary (Golden Jubilee) of Satya Movies and completion of 50 years of superstar Rajinikanth on screen, the makers have decided to re-release the film. The film will be seen on the big screen in a new version with Dolby Atmos surround sound and stunning 4K resolution. ‘Baasha’, released in 1995, was directed by Suresh Krishna and produced by RM Veerappan under the banner of Satya Movies.

This film, released 30 years ago in 1995, is known as the biggest blockbuster of superstar Rajinikanth’s film career. The film ran successfully in theaters across India for 15 months. Fans will once again see their hero acting in a film made with 4K Atmos sound technology. It is claimed that it will give the experience of a newly released film. RM Veerappan’s son Thangaraj Veerappan will release it on behalf of Satya Movies. ‘Baasha’ is a gangster story, which is credited with bringing a new genre of action films to Indian cinema.

One of Rajinikanth’s dialogues in the film, Naan Oru Thadava Sonna, Nooru Thadava Sonna Mathiri (What I say once is like saying it 100 times) won the hearts of fans. People still speak this dialogue with the same enthusiasm. In the era of reels and memes, it is used extensively on various platforms. The film also stars Raghuvaran (late), Charanraj, Anandraj, Janagraj, Vijaykumar and Yuvrani in important roles along with Rajinikanth and Nagma. According to the information, the makers have not yet decided the release date of ‘Baasha’, but it will be announced soon.
