He also said that the politics of tension is not in the interest of the country and the state. Gehlot was addressing the unveiling ceremony of the statue of former MLA Sanwarmal peacock and the inauguration ceremony of Shree Shraddha Shiksha Bhavan Girls College at Kothiyari, Sikar on Saturday. He said that we repeatedly say that the politics of tension in the country and the state is not proper, because the family in which there is tension, it does not progress and gets ruined. The same thing applies to village, country and state also.

Gehlot targeted the BJP government at the Center and Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat regarding the East Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP).

Let us inform that Gehlot has been continuously demanding the ERCP to be given the status of a central project. This project worth more than Rs 37,000 crore will ensure availability of drinking water in 13 districts of the state. Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasara and other leaders also addressed the program.
