Uttarakhand bandh to get justice for Ankita

Dehradun. Uttarakhand bandh has been called by various organizations on Sunday to demand the death penalty for the accused in the Ankita murder case. All opposition parties including Congress have also supported this bandh. Senior Superintendent of Police Dehradun Dalip Singh Kunwar has appealed to the residents of the city to maintain peace.

People are getting angry after the heinous Ankita murder case in Pauri district of Uttarakhand. Various organizations have accused the police and the government of delaying the investigation of the murder and saving the accused. In order to maintain law and order in the capital Dehradun, the district has been divided into 9 super zones, 21 zones and 43 sectors by the SSP. So that no untoward incident happens during this bandh. SSP Dalip Singh Kunwar said that strict action will be taken against anyone who is involved in violent activities during this period.

All the people’s organizations, trade unions across the state have announced the Uttarakhand bandh on Sunday. Various political parties including the Congress party have also supported the Uttarakhand bandh. The party has directed the District and Metropolitan Congress Committees to ensure their participation while fully supporting the bandh. Vice President organization Mathura Dutt Joshi and General Administration Vijay Saraswat issued a joint statement saying that the party is continuously requesting the central and state government to get the investigation done by the CBI in the Ankita murder case. But, even lice are not crawling in the ears of the government.
