Facebook – Google’s Indian unit earned Rs 23,213 crore from advertisements

Facebook Advertisement Revenue: The revenue from advertisements of social media platform Facebook India Online Services has increased by 41 percent. In the financial year 2020-21, Facebook India has earned an income of Rs 9326 crore through advertisements. At the same time, Net Revenue has increased by 22 percent to Rs 1481 crore. However, there has been a decrease of 6 percent in the net profit and during this it has come down to Rs 128 crore. These things have come to the fore after the information filed with the Registrar of Companies (RoC).

15,887 crore income from advertising to Google

According to media reports, earlier Google India had filed its result with the Registrar of Companies (RoC) last month, according to which the income from advertisements of Google India has increased by 21.4 percent. And it has been Rs 13,887 crore. Google India’s net profit has also increased by 38 percent to Rs 808 crore. At the same time, the company has earned an income of Rs 6386 crore during this period.

Google Facebook earns Rs 23,213 crore from advertising

If we look at the income from advertisements of both the giants of the technology sector, then it has been a total of Rs 23,213 crore. Facebook India and Google India account for 75 to 80 percent of online digital revenue in India.

Facebook India gives 90 percent of its total revenue to global subsidiaries, while Google India pays 87 percent of its total revenue to its global subsidiaries. Facebook and Google work in India like an advertisement reseller model. They sell to their clients in India after buying ad space from their US-based subsidiary company.
