Priyanka Gandhi tweeted that the most important aspect in the Lakhimpur farmer massacre case was the speech of the Minister of State for Home threatening to look at the farmers. Instead of standing in favor of the farmers, the BJP government strengthened the stick of its minister.

The Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court on Monday rejected the bail pleas of four accused in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence – Lavkush, Ankit Das, Sumit Jaiswal and Shishupal. Ashish Mishra alias Monu, son of Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra alias Teni, is allegedly involved in the Lakhimpur violence case. The bench also took note of the finding of the SIT (Special Investigation Team) that if Union Minister Ajay Mishra had not made some bitter statements against farmers in public a few days before the incident, this incident might not have happened.

8 people died in violence

Priyanka Attacks BJP: Let us inform that on October 3, 2021, eight people died during violence in Tikunia police station area of ​​Lakhimpur Kheri district. The incident took place when farmers agitating against the Centre’s agricultural laws were protesting against the visit of Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya to the area. According to the FIR of the Uttar Pradesh Police, four farmers were crushed by an SUV in which Ashish Mishra was sitting. Following the incident, angry farmers allegedly thrashed the driver and two BJP workers to death. A journalist was also killed in this violence.
