The Enforcement Directorate (ED) of the Central Government has sent a production notice to Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. Both of them are president and former president of Congress. Apart from these, AAP’s Health Minister Satyendar Jain has been kept in custody by the ED. Lalu Prasad Yadav and Omprakash Chautala are already serving jail. Some officers of Jharkhand are also facing jail. Who are all these people? These are all non-BJP leaders.
Have they all been presidents or chief ministers or officers of opposition parties? Whose fault or crime is, it is decided by the courts, but it is a matter of pride and pride that there is not a single person among them, who is from the BJP or the ruling party. If all the BJP leaders and workers are really like this, then what can be a greater joy for the nation than this? But is it so? How to know this?
Either they swear that they are milk-washed, or they claim that they have never taken a bribe, or that they have never evaded tax or swindled money. We have not heard even a single leader of any party making such a claim. Yes, only the opposition leaders are caught by the governments in their bets. Today BJP is trapping its opponents – Congressmen, AAP, BSP and socialists – so tomorrow when the power changes, will not all of them together set a wide net for BJP?
Will this stop corruption? No, not at all. If a Prime Minister conducts raids on his supporters before raiding his opponents, then it will be called real cleanliness. If you do not clean your house before cleaning the house of others, then people will not live without making fun of you. People will consider that clarification of yours as an act of political vendetta. He may also have the opposite reaction in public. The public would ignore his crime and there would be a cloud of sympathy for him, like the one that rained down on the arrest of Indira Gandhi by Charan Singh.
Will there ever be such a government of any party in India, which first raids its leaders and arrests them? In Punjab, AAP has done this but it is telling its Delhi Health Minister to be worthy of Padma Vibhushan and Congress is also showing complete devotion towards both its bosses. It is possible that after a thorough investigation these people will be proved guilty but still the question remains that why only this?
